Earlier this year, the web was atwitter about claims that Donald Trump was taking hair regrowth drug Propecia. It’s a drug that decreases the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone, which in turns prevents hair from falling out (since dihydrotestosterone is a big culprit behind balding). It wouldn't be surprising if Trump takes Propecia; that wispy, discolored mop looks anything but natural. Or perhaps, like Samson the Israelite, Trump's power is somehow linked to his flowing locks. It makes total sense that he would do whatever possible to prevent balding. (Hey, anything to make sense of the guy.)This bit of gossip aside, it's a big question for guys in their late twenties and early- to mid-thirties: How far will you go to prevent hair loss? Are you going to move to Nova Scotia because you read somewhere that pollution causes male pattern baldness? Okay its been exactly 3 months now since I have started the medications. I have been talking 1/4 of a 5mg tablet of Finasteride every morning, using Rogaine every night and using Nizoral shampoo twice a week. I am hugely impressed and I have a lot more confidence now. I would appreciate it if ye could compare these photos. It's really hard to tell man, if you feel better about it, that's all that matters! I'm at the same stage as you really, if you want to look at my thread. I have definitely noticed a decrease in my hairloss and I think that my hairline and my hair overall has thickened. I think that my hair feels healthier and I feel a little better about it, but obviously there's probably not that noticeable of a difference because I haven't even technically gone through a resting cycle yet anyway. I agree that the hairstyles are different and the lighting is different but you can still see that it's thicker in the after pictures. You're a god responder if that happened in 3 months.
Finasteride is one of the successful medication to combat hair loss, it has been approved since 1997 as a hair loss medication. It is also popularly known under brand names Propecia and a less so Proscar. Signs of new hair that was really soft came through. I started taking finasteride, well actually expensive Propecia first and I kept going with it, every morning I had 1mg and used minoxidil twice a day. This is a great sign it is working and they still quit. (about 18 months later I switched to finasteride which is cheaper and exactly the same thing in my opinion. No one notices these hairs but you (you’re the one looking so closely)I strongly recommend the 1mg tablets, you do not need a stronger dose and this may result in more side effects. I’ve previously bought the stronger 5mg finasteride and cut into quarters but I felt it was not worth the risk so stopped after a week. The biggest side effect reported is a downturn in sex drive, losing interest in sex, or not so normal ejaculation, I’ve never met anyone this has happened to, not to say it doesn’t happen. It must be terrifying – Not from addiction, but because if you do, your hair reverts back to how it would look without the medication so you are kind of held hostage although with no side effects, it not a big deal to most people.
